Do you feel burned out at times? Do you feel like you are just spinning your wheels, doing the same thing day in and day out, or maybe just going through the motions?
Being in a service-based business can be very demanding. It is such a giving industry. And sometimes, you may get to the point of feeling exhausted of it all. I have been there a million times over.
How do you get past it?
Or better yet, how do you get through it?
In those moments, I want you to take it all the way back to WHY you chose this industry to begin with. Let’s dive a bit deeper.
People are looking for ways to feel a connection with you. When you have a potential client looking for a new salon, barber shop, yoga studio, or spa, they are going to look on your social platforms and your website to see if they can connect with you and your vibe.
People also like to do business with people they know, like, and trust.
And guess what?
The only way they can learn more about you and your business is if you operate and show up wearing your why on your sleeve. This really goes all the way back to your branding, marketing, and advertising as well.
So I want you to ask yourself a couple questions when you are feeling like you are getting bored, tired, or even burned out.
- Why did I choose his business or this industry? Out of all the careers you could have chosen, why did you choose this? Take it back to that very moment and live there for a bit.
- What is it that drives you every single day to show up? What is your motivation for getting out of bed every day? Use this and operate from that space every day.
- What can I do to respark my why and my passion? What is it that will inspire my soul and allow me to feel butterflies again about my job and my career? I can tell you, education is one of those things that will reignite that passion.
One more thing. I recommend taking time out for yourself. Just to reflect and remember why you started this journey in the first place. It is so easy to get lost or go off path. But, this happens to most of us that serve people.
Nurture your mind, body, and soul, and continue to show up in with your why on your sleeve.
