Update: New and Improved Tax Tools

If the thought of tax season coming up is stressing you out, no need to worry! We’re here to help make collecting your taxes easy as can be. We are releasing new tools to make collecting taxes for your services and items a breeze. That’s right, no more hassle or confusion for the not so fun “T” word.
All changes will be effective on February 28th, 2019.
Let’s take a quick look at how taxes will work within Schedulicity:
You’ll be able to add pre-set taxes to services up front during the service creation.
- Go to the Settings area
- Click on the Services tile
- Select the service you wish to add a tax rate to
- Under “Taxes for This Service,” click on the “change” button
- Click on the “add new” button
- Enter in a name and percentage for your tax, as well as select how many services you wish to apply this tax to
- Save your changes!
Adding Taxes to Custom Items within Checkout
You’ll now have the ability to include tax for a custom item during checkout. Keep in mind, the tax is applied to the custom item total and is included as a line item in checkout.
Viewing Overall Taxes in Checkout
The total of all the taxes applied to items in the ticket are displayed above the “Today’s Payment” total on the ticket. Your ticket’s overall taxes can be EASILY seen during the checkout process. Yay!
Tax Receipts & Reporting
No need for searching for up and down to see what taxes were applied and where? Taxes will be displayed in an easily readable format on both receipts and reporting.
