FAQs

How do I download the app (“I see two Schedulicity apps in the store”)?

From your phone, navigate to the App Store and search for Schedulicity. You may see two results display in the app store as we offer an app for business owners in addition to the client app. Select ‘get’ for the app titled “Schedulicity” if you are wanting to schedule appointments as a client. As a helpful hint: the app icon is white with colored boxes.

How do I create a scheduling profile?

As a client scheduling with a business on Schedulicity, you will need a client scheduling profile to book appointments. The profile is completely free and will allow you to book and manage your upcoming appointments.

You can create your scheduling profile by clicking on the “sign in” button when you open the app, by choosing any item in the bottom navigation bar or by booking an appointment, class or workshop. Enter your email address and select the “next” button in the upper right hand corner. As prompted, enter your name and contact information and select the “create profile” button. You can then choose to add a profile photo or skip this step to complete setting up your profile.

How do I sign in with an existing login?

If you have previously used Schedulicity on the web and already have a login, all you have to do is select the “sign in” button when you open the app. Then you can enter your email address and select the “next” button in the upper right hand corner. Enter your password and click “Sign in.” You then will be able to book and access your upcoming appointments, past services and profile information.

How do I reset my password?

Forgot your password? No problem! To reset your password, open the app and select the “sign in” button. Then enter your email address and click “next” in the upper right hand corner. On the next screen, select the “Reset your password” link. You can then enter the email address whose password you would like reset. The system will then send you an reset password email. Follow the link within that email to create a new password and access the system. Your password must be a minimum of 7 characters with at least one non-alpha character such as a number.

If the system takes you to a screen that says “Hi! Looks like you’re new here”, this means you are not registered for an online scheduling profile with the email address you entered! Just add your contact information and select the “create my profile” button and your profile will be created in seconds!

What does explore mean?

Explore allows you to check out areas of the app and view a business you are trying to book with before having to sign in. If you just want to check your provider’s availability or view what businesses are in your city, you can tap “Explore” and navigate around the app. You will have to sign in to your client scheduling profile to actually book with a business or manage your appointments.

How do I search for a business?

From Explore you can search for the business you are wanting to book with several ways. You can select an industry tile from the explore page and that will take you to the search results with all businesses listed for that category in your area. Or you can tap on the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner which will take you to the search screen. Here, you can enter what you want to search for or select from your recent searches.

How do I change the city I’m searching on Schedulicity?

To update your search location on Schedulicity, simply tap your current city on the Explore screen. It will default to “San Francisco, CA” if no city has been selected. Type in your correct location and select search from your keyboard. All related services that you are searching will be listed in the search results and your location will be remembered for next time!

What are my recent searches?

From the search screen, you will notice a list of your 10 most recent searches which include services, businesses, and locations. For quick access, you can use this list to search for the service or business you are looking for. Simply click a recent search and you will be taken to the search results screen with all businesses listed matching your past search.  

How do I use the map icon found in the search results?

From the search results screen you can select the map icon in the upper right hand corner to view the list of businesses searched via their map location. You can navigate around the map to search different areas (make sure to hit search once you’re in the area of the map you’re curious about) or select a business to book with from the business cards that display on the bottom of the screen (swipe through the business cards to view all that display). If you change areas on the map, your new location and search will be remembered when you return to the search result list by selecting the back arrow in the upper left hand corner.

How do I book an appointment?

Booking an appointment online is so easy! Follow these step by step directions to book your appointment in just seconds:

  1. Select Explore when you open the app.
  2. Choose the magnifying glass and type in what you are looking for, then select the search button from your keyboard.
  3. Select the business you’d like to book with from the search results list.
  4. Select your desired service.
  5. Select a service provider if more than one is shown. If the business allows you to book more than one service within your appointment, you’ll also see the option to add additional services.
  6. Click “Next.”
  7. Select the date you’d like to schedule your appointment and then the time.
  8. You will then be prompted to enter your email address.
  9. If you already have a client profile, you will be prompted to enter your password to finish signing in. If you have not created an online profile, you will be prompted to enter your information including your name, phone number, and a password. Fill out your information and click the “create profile” button.
  10. Enter any additional information required and select any available promotions that look appealing. Off-site appointments will ask for your address and some appointments may ask for a credit card to hold the spot for you. You can also leave a message for your provider here if you’d like.
  11. Tap “Book now”

Your appointment will then be booked and you can choose to view your appointment details or continuing exploring. You will also receive an email confirmation of your appointment.

And that’s it! Super simple.

How do I register for a class?

You can register for a class within the Schedulicity app. Follow these step by step directions to register for your class in just seconds:

  1. Select Explore when you open the app.
  2. Click on the magnifying glass and type your search in, then select the search button from your keyboard.
  3. Select the business you’d like to book with from the search results list.
  4. If classes do not automatically display, select “Classes” under the business name and logo.
  5. Upcoming Classes will display. Select the one you’d like to register for.
  6. You will then be prompted to enter your email address.
  7. If you already have a client profile, you will be prompted to enter your password to finish signing in. If you have not created an online profile, you will be prompted to enter your information including your name, phone number, and a password. Fill out your information and tap the “create profile” button.
  8. Enter any additional information required and select any available promotions that look appealing. Some Classes may ask for a credit card to hold the spot for you. You can also leave a message for your instructor here if you’d like.
  9. Tap “Book now”

You will then be registered for the class and you can choose to view your reservation details or continuing exploring. You will receive an email confirmation of your class.

How do I view my upcoming appointments?

Simply sign into your Schedulicity account to view your upcoming appointments and manage them. Once you sign in, all of your upcoming appointments will be listed. If you navigate away, you can return to that screen by selecting the ‘Upcoming’ tab from the bottom navigation menu.

How do I cancel/reschedule an appointment or class?

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment online, you will first need to sign in. Once you sign in, your upcoming appointments or classes will be listed. You can always get to this screen by selecting “Upcoming” from the bottom navigation bar. Select the desired appointment and tap the “Cancel/Reschedule” button on the bottom of the screen. You can then choose to cancel the appointment or reschedule it according to the business’s cancellation policy.

How do I edit my profile information?

You can edit information like your password, email address, and name (among other things) from within your account. Sign into your profile by selecting “Sign in.” Once you are logged in, select the “Profile” tab from the bottom navigation menu. To change your profile information select the “Edit profile” button that displays on the bottom of the screen or select the gear icon in the upper right hand corner and choose “Edit profile” or “Change password,” depending on which you’d like to do. Be sure to save your changes by selecting Done in the upper right hand corner!

How do I upload a profile picture?

You have the option of uploading a profile picture to personalize your client scheduling profile. Sign into your account and select the “Profile” tab from the bottom navigation menu. Select your profile image from this screen or choose “Edit profile” and select your profile image. On the profile photo page, tap “Change profile photo.” You can either take a photo or uploading an existing photo. Once you have chosen your photo, you have the ability to crop it by dragging and zooming the image. Select ‘Set profile photo’ when ready and your picture is uploaded to your account!

How do I un-fave a business?

To un-fave a business, you’ll need to sign into your client account and select the “Profile” tab from the bottom navigation menu. Choose the gear icon in the upper right hand corner and select the “Business Preferences” option. Under Business Preferences, select the business you want to un-fave. Set the ‘Fave this business’ slider to off and tap “Save” in the upper right hand corner.

How do I unsubscribe from marketing emails?

When you schedule online with a business through Schedulicity, you may receive marketing materials sent by them according to the client privacy policy. However, if you do not wish to receive any marketing messages from this business, you can permanently unsubscribe from their messages.

To unsubscribe, open up your Schedulicity app, sign in, and select the “Profile” tab from the bottom navigation menu. Choose the gear icon in the upper right hand corner and select the “Business Preferences” option. Under Business Preferences, select the business you’d like to unsubscribe from. Set the ‘Email subscription’ slider to off and tap “Save” in the upper right hand corner.

How do I update/delete my credit card number with a business?

If you’ve booked with a business that requires a credit card number to hold your appointment or spot in class, you have the option of removing that card number from the business if you need to update that information.

To do this, first log on to your scheduling profile. Once you are signed in, select the “Profile” tab from the bottom navigation menu. Choose the gear icon in the upper right hand corner and select the “Business Preferences” option. Under Business Preferences, select the business with whom you’d like to remove your credit card information. Tap the “Remove” button near the card icon. Your card will now be removed from that business’s records. Repeat as needed for other businesses.

Once you’ve removed the current card on file, you’ll be prompted when booking your next appointment online to enter your card number again and can enter the updated information.

How do I contact a business using Schedulicity?

If you have questions about availability, services, or what a specific business has to offer, you will need to contact the business directly. You can find contact information for a business on their Schedulicity listing. Just select Explore, then choose the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner. Enter your search and click “Search” from your keyboard to select the business needed from the search results. Select the “Info” tab location under the business name and logo, you will see a phone number listed for the business as well as additional information.
